Care Instructions

Beautiful natural materials will last for a long time when shown love and gentle care. Here’s how to take the best care of your Aarni products, ensuring they remain your trusted companions for years to come.

Wooden Watch

To keep the wooden parts of your watch looking beautifully polished and resistant to dirt, we recommend cleaning and oiling them about once a year.

Cleaning

If needed, the wooden watch band can be cleaned with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. If the wooden parts of the watch have darkened from heavy use, you can sand away any discoloration with fine-grit wet sandpaper (1000-3000 grit).

Oiling

After cleaning or sanding, it’s best to oil the wooden parts with paraffin or linseed oil. This restores the wood’s resistance to dirt and moisture and brings back its beautiful natural shine.

Battery Replacement

The battery life of quartz movements lasts between 2-8 years, depending on the model. You can conveniently have the battery replaced at your nearest watch store.

Elk Leather Wallet and Bracelet

To keep the luxurious elk leather in good condition, we recommend cleaning and conditioning about once a year.

Cleaning

A mild, fatty soap (such as Marseille soap) is ideal for cleaning. Mix a small amount of soap into lukewarm water. The soap’s fat restores the leather’s natural oils, so it’s important to use a fatty soap. Dampen a sponge in the soapy water, squeeze out most of the water, and leave the sponge only slightly damp. Clean the leather in circular motions, repeating until the surface looks clean. Let the leather dry.

Leather Conditioning

After cleaning, you can give your wallet or bracelet some extra love by treating it with a colorless leather conditioner.

Wooden Sunglasses

Cleaning

If necessary, clean the wooden parts of your sunglasses with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. For stubborn spots, such as makeup residue, you can spot-clean with an oil-based makeup remover.

The lenses can be easily cleaned with lukewarm water or the microfiber cloth that comes with the glasses.

Oiling

After cleaning, treat the wooden parts with paraffin or linseed oil. This will further enhance the wood’s resistance to dirt and help it remain in good condition for a long time.
